PRAMAC P3000i – portable 2.5 kW inverter generator
Compact petrol inverter generator with 2.5 kW maximum power and 2.3 kW continuous output, PRAMAC 149 cc OHV engine, inverter technology, recoil start, 2 × 230 V / 16 A Schuko outlets and 2 USB ports. The enclosed P3000i weighs only 27 kg, has a 4-litre fuel tank and delivers approximately 3.5 hours at 75% load. Suitable for trades, service jobs, mobile workstations and compatible sensitive electronics.
Key specifications
Inverter generator providing stable 230 V power away from the mains
The PRAMAC P3000i combines the portability of a compact petrol generator with electronically controlled inverter output. Its stable AC supply is suitable for many compatible electronic power supplies, test instruments, lighting systems, chargers and selected electric tools. Always consider input power, starting current and the requirements of each connected device.
The air-cooled PRAMAC 149 cc OHV four-stroke engine starts with a recoil cord. Economy mode adjusts engine speed to demand and can reduce fuel consumption and sound levels under partial loads. The enclosed housing and carrying handle aid transport, with a net weight of 27 kg.
Continuous output is 2,300 W, with a 2,500 W maximum rating, at single-phase 230 V and 50 Hz. PRAMAC lists approximately 1.14 litres of petrol per hour at 75% load, giving roughly 3.5 hours from the 4-litre tank. Manufacturer PowerRush technology provides brief support when suitable motor loads start, but is not a substitute for checking the true inrush current.
Benefits and equipment
Electronic output regulation for a stable 230 V supply to compatible electronics.
2.5 kW maximum rating for suitable brief peaks; not continuous.
Brief additional current to help start suitable motor-driven loads.
Load-responsive engine speed for fuel saving and quieter partial-load operation.
2 × 230 V / 16 A Schuko and 2 × 5 V / 2 A USB ports according to PRAMAC documentation.
Combine two compatible equal-output inverters with the separately sold PRAMAC parallel kit.
Enclosed casing, ergonomic carrying handle and only 27 kg.
Low-oil shutdown, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection per PRAMAC data.
Technical features explained for real applications
Why is the P3000i useful for sensitive electronics?
In a conventional generator, AC frequency is closely tied to engine speed. An inverter generator electronically processes the output to provide stable 230 V / 50 Hz power. This is suitable for many compatible computers, communications, chargers and test instruments. Always follow each connected product's electrical requirements.
PowerRush assists start-up but does not guarantee compatibility
Electric motors in pumps, compressors and saws may draw much higher current when starting than when running. PRAMAC PowerRush can briefly provide additional current for this event. It does not represent a specified extra continuous kW rating or guarantee that any motor will start. Check nominal input and starting requirements in advance.
Understand consumption, tank capacity and runtime
PRAMAC quotes around 3.5 hours at 75% load from the 4-litre tank, with fuel consumption of approximately 1.14 l/h. Economy mode can reduce demand at lower loads. Runtime varies with output, conditions and maintenance; the quoted duration does not apply at full continuous load.
Quiet performance with correctly identified noise figures
The manufacturer gives 61 dB(A) sound pressure at 7 m and 88 dB(A) LWA sound power. These are different acoustical quantities and cannot be directly compared as if measured on the same basis. Observe local noise rules and appropriate distances.
More power with an optional parallel kit
The parallel ports allow two compatible inverter generators of equal output to work together using the separately sold PRAMAC parallel kit. Combined output can increase, but the allowable load is limited by the kit rating, sockets, protective measures and both generator units.
Protection ratings and safe use
The product is listed as IP23 overall, while PRAMAC specifies IP44 for the control panel. The two values describe different components. The petrol engine produces carbon monoxide: never run it inside buildings, garages, tents or partially enclosed spaces. Connection to a building's electrical system requires a properly engineered changeover, isolation and protection arrangement.
Suitable applications
Power compatible electric tools, work lights and measuring equipment.
Mobile electricity for test instruments, chargers and assembly work.
Stable output for compatible small lighting, camera and audio systems.
Supply suitable electric tools away from fixed sockets.
Power compatible equipment from a lawful outdoor position away from occupied areas.
Run suitable individual appliances during outages; never improvise building backfeed.
What can a 2.3 kW continuous inverter power?
For continuous use, the combined active output must not exceed 2,300 W. Socket current ratings do not increase the total generator capacity. A 1,000 W appliance may leave substantial steady-state margin, but its starting current could be much greater. Resistive heaters generally draw their stated power, whereas motors, inductive devices and switch-mode supplies may have additional inrush current or power-factor considerations. The 2,500 W maximum rating is not available indefinitely.

Frequently asked questions about PRAMAC P3000i
What is the output rating of the P3000i?
Continuous power is 2,300 W and maximum power is 2,500 W. Use the 2.3 kW figure for sizing longer-lasting loads.
Can the P3000i supply sensitive electronics?
Its inverter technology provides stable 230 V / 50 Hz power suitable for many compatible laptops, power supplies and other electronic devices. Always check the appliance specifications.
How long will it run on one tank?
PRAMAC rates about 3.5 hours at 75% load from the 4-litre tank. Actual runtime differs with demand and conditions.
How noisy is the P3000i?
PRAMAC specifies 61 dB(A) sound pressure measured at 7 m and 88 dB(A) LWA sound power. They are different noise metrics.
Which outlets does it include?
Two 230 V / 16 A Schuko sockets and two 5 V / 2 A USB ports are documented. A separate 12 V charger outlet would need confirmation for the supplied revision.
Can I connect two P3000i generators in parallel?
Yes, with two compatible generators of the same output and the separately sold PRAMAC parallel kit. Total output remains subject to the kit's electrical rating.
Will it start an air compressor?
PowerRush helps with brief surges, but success depends on the compressor's true start-up current, running load and accessories.
Can I operate it inside a home or motorhome?
No. The petrol engine must always run outdoors, away from doors, windows and ventilation intakes. Supplying individual devices differs from connecting to a building electrical installation.
Can I use E10 petrol?
The exact approved ethanol content must be verified in the correct PRAMAC instruction manual. The reviewed materials do not substantiate a blanket yes or no for this model.
Genuine PRAMAC accessories and alternative power class
The original PRAMAC parallel kit connects a second compatible equal-output inverter. If you need higher power continuously, a larger model such as the PRAMAC P3500i may be more appropriate. Check running and starting power before selection.
